Micah takes a ride!

Micah and Melinda are going down the inflatable slide that Kim provided during the Thanksgiving lunch. We all had a great time. There was this slide, a blow up jumpy house, horseshoes, croquet, golf carts, hay rides, and horse rides. And not to be forgotten, tons of good food. It was really nice to see the family all together having a good time. Kim is an amazing hostess!

Don't Mess With Texas!

Judy's grandparents were in Jacksonville for a visit from Tuesday night to Saturday morning. They drove in from Ft. Worth, Texas. This is a photo of us at the River City Brewing Company. It's funny how quickly the kids warm up to grandparents and also how quickly the grandparents' love for their grandchildren is visible. In accordance with tradition, they brought tamales and tortillas for all of us. It's funny how an ice chest full of tamales just doesn't seem like enough. Grandma cooked several meals for us. There is nothing like a home-cooked meal from Grandma! Having them here with us makes Judy and me want to visit them in Texas all the more. Perhaps we need to find a way to work that into the budget!
